Let me introduce myself: my name is Dainis W. Michel, I live in Vienna, Austria, with my loving wife, Liz, and I am currently writing my dissertation on the "teaching of music composition."

I also love songwriting, and recently posted a video on YouTube of a live performance of me playing a song called "Another Way." If you click on the "YouTube" title, you'll be taken to the YouTube page, where you can comment on the song.

The education section of the site currently provides the World's first free online music composition lesson! Wow! The lesson is pretty neat, it's designed mostly for beginning to intermediate songwriters and composers, yet even experienced composers and composition instructors stand to gain from clicking through the lesson (and maybe even doing the tasks!).
